FREE Summer Camps for Galveston Kids! Camps Begin July 7th & 14th, 2008

Free Summer Hands-On Learning Camps


Galveston ISD, in partnership with Texas A&M at Galveston, the University of Texas Medical Branch, and the Dana Center at UT Austin, is sponsoring four innovative, hands-on summer learning camps in July. GISD will provide transportation from GISD campuses and housing areas north of Broadway.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided. High school students can earn one Science Credit for UTMB and TAMUG camps.
 

• 5 seats remain for the Science Camp I at UTMB --- students must be entering 8th or 9th grade in the fall. (July 7 - Aug 1. 1 pm- 5 pm)

• 5 seats remain for the Science Camp II at UTMB --- students must be entering 10th or 11th grade in the fall. (July 7 - Aug 1. 8 am - noon)

• 30 seats remain for Hands on Math, including field trips and online activities (at Ball High) --- students must be entering 6th - 9th grade in the fall (July 7 - Aug 1, 8 am - 12:30 pm)

• 10 seats remain for Sea Camp at TAMUG - students must be entering 6th - 12th grade in the fall (July 14 - Aug 8, 8 am - noon)

 
Applications may be picked up at the Ball High Clock Tower desk or at the Central Support Center Administration Building on 39th Street.
